NEP UK’s Kath Gray, Senior Broadcast Engineer Shortlisted for a 2023 Rise Award
NEP UK is proud to announce that Kath Gray, Senior Broadcast Engineer, has been shortlisted for a Rise Award alongside three of her colleagues across the NEP Group network.
Rise is a charity organisation advocating for diverse and gender balanced workforces in the broadcast industry. The Rise Awards is an annual event recognising and celebrating outstanding women working in media tech/services.
Following the announcement of Markela Deverikou, Guarantee Broadcast Engineer, winning the Production Support Engineer Award at the Rise Awards 2022, NEP is delighted to make a return to this year’s ceremony with a record of four of its women shortlisted.
Kath Gray, Senior Broadcast Engineer at NEP UK, has been shortlisted for the Production Support Engineer Award.
With over 10 years of experience working on shows as diverse as Love Island to the Queen’s Funeral, Kath works extremely hard to deliver at a high level to both clients and colleagues alike, across a variety of broadcast technologies and program genres.
Her incredible experience and skill have ensured that she is regularly requested on shows by our clients and technical managers and often appears as a named engineer for high profile events.
As one of NEP UK’s Senior Broadcast Engineers and a former Young Technologist RTS winner (2017), Kath has been instrumental in defining and adapting complex workflows to support productions such as Extreme E, the Birmingham Commonwealth Games and the Rugby World Cup in France.
Her skills were in great demand during the design and build of the NEP Production Centre, where she was part of the core project team that designed, built and delivered this ground-breaking facility during the Covid Pandemic.
Kath has been shortlisted alongside three of her colleagues across the NEP network, including:
· Jeremina Akrofi-Daniels, Multiskilled Operator at NEP Bow Tie – shortlisted for the Rising Star Award.
· Helen Jeffrey, International Sales Director at NEP Connect - shortlisted for the Sales Award.
· Swetha Sridhar, Software Application Engineer at NEP/BSI - shortlisted for the R&D Engineer Award.
NEP is incredibly proud of these women and wishes them the best of luck at the Rise Awards ceremony on 7th November. We look forward to a night of celebrating the best of women in broadcast!
